Halloween - Oct. 31

Only Owen's photo was actually taken on Halloween this year and I was the only one who didn't dress up. Hmmm. Nicholas and Heather dressed up for Emily's birthday party at the skating rink.

Brynna and Matthew are a mouse and a pumpkin.

Owen put on his mullet to give out treats on Halloween. One group asked what he was and he said, "A mullet-head." As they left, one girl said to another, "What's a mullet?" I guess they're too young for that. :)

Carving Pumpkins - Oct. 22

Matthew and Brynna carved pumpkins yesterday. There was a dilemma about what to do with Matthew's flat pumpkin (which had a very nice color to it). In the end, he decided to go with a spiral design with circles in the side. He plans on putting it on the ground so that the design will be seen from above.


I sure love this age when they can do the work by themselves. :)

A Fun Snack - Oct. 22

Brynna's mom posted a fun snack so we tried it today. Isn't it cute?

I think my eyebrows look kind of evil in this, but he got the sun behind me. Zoey scratched my by my eye last night (1:11 in the morning) but it doesn't show so much here.;)

Bye Bye Danskos - Oct. 17

Tonight I had to say goodbye to my favorite pair of Danskos. They are one of the first pair that I got and were very comfortable. Tonight when I wore them, it felt like I had something stuck on the bottom of my shoe. When I turned them over, both of the soles had split all the way through. I loved the style of the shoe and the color (that went with most everything). I've been looking for a similar shoe since the toe started showing thread, but haven't found anything close. I'll just have to keep buying more Danskos until I find another favorite! ;)

Cat in a Bag in the Sun - Oct. 8

Saturday I caught the cats both in the sun...one in the bag, one out. They love the plastic bag that Costco toilet paper comes in. At times, that is their favorite toy. I think Zoey got the spa effect today.

Homecoming - Oct.1

Matthew and Brynna went to the Homecoming Dance. They first had dinner at the Adriatic Grill by the Mall. Aren't they cute?











Matthew got to drive Papa's convertible. :)
