Kitty Visitor - May 22

Topaz and Zoey had a visitor on Friday. He wasn't too afraid until I tried to open the door. They all sat there looking at each other for about 5 minutes while I made my breakfast. I've seen him once before but I'm not sure which house he lives at. You can't tell from the photo, but his head is at least twice as big as Zoey's. He is a huge cat!

Matthew's Photos - May 21

Finally, I got the photos off my camera and into the computer. We had a great dinner at Outback and he got a birthday sundae.

He got a lot of shirts...not all are shown here...one is a history cheat shirt that's printed upside down.

Nicholas got him an octopii shirt...I love it.

Mama and Papa got him a Pterodactyls are Pteriffic shirt and some light up shoelaces. :)

Brynna made him a card and wrote a book for him. Very sweet.
All in all, he had a very nice birthday.

Matthew's Birthday - May 16 (May 18)

My baby turned 17 on Monday the 16th. I do have some pictures, but haven't gotten them up and running yet.

I am so very tired. I really want to take a day off work to catch up on everything, but I don't want to miss a day with my class. It's been a few years since I've been able to say that. :) The end of the year is coming up quickly!

Mother's Day Part 2 - May 8

Yes, two posts in one day (scroll down for the earlier post!)
Matthew made some punch with Dole Mango Twist juice, sparkling apple cider, and Sprite. He added some Icee treats for the ice cream and at first, the punch looked great - a nice orange punch with blobs of "ice cream". As the blue Icee melted, it turned the punch green and ended up looking like pond scum. Unappetizing, but delicious!

My parents bought me some beautiful yellow lillies. Alexa, Kaylon, and Jordyn brought the red lillies.

Sandy and Robert brought this beautiful hanging basket.

And Nicholas surprised me with a bench to go under the arbor that Owen finished embellishing yesterday.

Very, very nice!

Happy Mother's Day - May 8

We hosted Mother's Day here. Nicholas had to work until 2:30 so some of the photos that Sandy will send me will be posted later. Here are a few we took with my camera once Nicholas got home. This first one is Mama and Papa.

The kitties both posed with us here.

And here are two daughters and two moms. Me, Anne, my mom Rita, and Owen's mom Sandy.

Owen's New Project - May 3

Since our tree blew down last winter, Owen has moved the arbor my dad made into the spot it grew and is working on reshaping the lawn around that area. Over the weekend we bought a couple of wisteria plants so he's building lattice on the side for it to climb. This is what he has so far...I really like it!

Enviro Fair - May 1

Yesterday Matthew's Enviro Club partipated in the Enviro Fair. The school had a booth and they set up the composter they bought. Matthew's Mason bee houses were on display (his other one is the one on the left with the mossy top). Owen and I bought a couple of wisteria plants to grow on our arbor. He was working today to get lattice on the sides for the wisteria to climb on. It was a beautiful weekend weather-wise.
I also got Nicholas a 30 cent discount for gas at Safeway for buying $75+ of groceries. He still put in over $60 into his car, but at least he saved a bit. :)

And for those who worried, sorry about that, just venting. Stress levels are much more normal after my stressful week. :)
