Grandview Views

I usually drag Matthew (and sometimes Nicholas if he's not busy) along with me for my walk down at Grandview. We often get there just as the sun is setting so it usually is a "grand view". The moon was also huge looking on Monday when we walked.

A Day at the Races

The 2nd Annual Hub City Grand Prix was held the weekend. I am proud to say that I've been to ALL of the Hub City Grand Prix races!!! They close down all the streets around Centralia College to make the raceway. Owen's friend Brian raced in the Celebrity Race and came in first on Saturday. They said they had about 180 racers this weekend, up from 120 or so last year so the event is growing.

An Engaging Question

Last Sunday, Owen asked me to marry him. :) Of course I said yes. We don't have a date set yet but we're thinking of sometime next summer. We're interested in ideas for unique or beautiful places to have the wedding...any ideas anyone?

Garage Organizing

Someone in my family loves to organize things. Nicholas has been working out in the garage all week "cleaning" which means he's uncovered the workbenches and has decorated them in his own style. He has relocated all of the junk that was on the workbenches into my parking space for me to go through and decide whether to keep or not...can't wait.

Our Adventure to the Creek

The boys and I had a follower as we walked down to the creek:

Matthew and Nicholas both spent an afternoon clearing away the brush from the trail to make it walkable. Monday evening we all went down to explore and Snickers had fun following us and making his own path through the uncut brush. We got him to go into the water, then he went in on his own.

It's a great place to go cool off your feet...now we just need a lot of warmer weather.
